Thank you. If I want to fight in Excercise, can I use the original apk file to avoid banning?

I have a question that needs help. When I see the title: "DO NOT USE IN EX EVENT, META GLOBAL, EXERCISE!", what is EX Event? Is it the EX Stage maps in events or the EX in War Archives as images? Can I use mods for event maps except the last map or all events I can't use?
