I don't recommend skipping the tutorial reroll method. A lot of people lost access to their account if they do that.

If both versions doesn't work on his device it might be because it is not compatible or his phone has low ram. Sometimes it might be because the game lacks the obb file, which shouldn't happen if you downloaded the game from Play Store. SAO MD's APK is only 17+mb so I doubt that's the case though.
