Just use ublock origins, working fine for now. If your looking for a browse wide one use brave or librewolf.

Sounds messy...
I use Ublock Origin myself, together with Vivaldi browser. Vivaldi is made by some former Opera people, who were not happy how things went there. Now Vivaldi is also based on chromium, but features things like mouse gestures, just as you had in the old opera versions and does some basic blocking as well.
