You could first use a dummy account if you want. But so far there is no record of people getting banned from playing with legit/semi-legit config (except for some idiots abusing it in EX leaderboard).

check rank of them, if they are 0 dmg and no fleet, u can assist them. it 's safe, and nobody can see your fleet and dmg.
