If you're unrooted, make sure you install the signed mod and try clearing cache.

are you trying to login with google on signed mod ? cus if yes that may be the problem
i personally test the mods so they work 99%
that 1% is device incompatibility

Same happened to me. I installed the signed apk and it worked. (Rooted people can install unsigned and signed apk)

But it kept me on lvl 1 forever so maybe something is wrong.
