Whats wrong with the download link it take me to a page where it just downloads a system apk and not the hacked apk for the game.

Most likely, you are clicking on an ad, these file sharing sites are very sneaky with the ads they place.
Make sure to:
Note (UC):Click the little blue download button, NOT the big one (advertisement).
Note (DU):Untick "Fast Download" (advertisement).

OP said to be smart about the MOD. Any public event will show your damage, especially if you reach the higher floors without dying.

What? If its farming for heroes, OP has already done his part, play the game and farm one. It's easy now since every final boss gives 3-6 hero scroll.
for colo, i always use this mod but i dont play it until i reach master 50% or less, and i think it quite safe as long as you don't use it to get high levels.
But what about the Fortress of Souls? if the mod is safe to use there, it will be huge help.
Can anyone confirm whether it is safe or not?

Like It seems safe if you reach a certain level, but if you 1 shot monsters or you have 0 received damage, it's very easy to see.
See the way it works is, in collo , it doesn't matter because the data is all ghost data. But World Boss no one can tell the difference if you don't die, but they can tell you're cheating when you one shot the boss.
In Fortress of Souls it only sends the completed data to the server, but if you manage to finish lets say, floor 15-20+ without any damage. That data is sent to the server, and that's how they determine you're hacking. Because as far as I know, your hero dies, they stay that way until you decide to reset again.
I got this message too, but i think this message occur when you played too long then after that there is the quiz about racing, i answer it wrong then it said i cannot enter for a certain amount of time, it was just 1 minute, there is timer, after that i answer it correctly then i can continue doing Quest.
I think it is quite safe to play in ancient dungeons, given i saw some low level player already has Rochefort in Colo.
hmmm, in FoS when you win you cannot use your hero again, so whether your hero are died or not that don't matter. But if the data sent from the dungeon is actively checked, then that's quite dangerous, it think i'll just use the mod for questing and ancient dungeons to get legendary heroes. Hope it won't get banned. Anyway thanks for your rep

downloading the no-root version. im using samsung s7 no-root. but checking comments its seem like i have to root my device to access my account . is that true ?
p/s: installed the mod file but every thing was messed up. Character model become moving white boxes.
uninstalled the modded ver then installed the normal playstore ver but it still had that bug.

Uninstall your Facebook Application first, use the pop-up webbase facebook login, to give access to your facebook linked account.
Most of the moded game, cann't access the facebook linked account if the facebook application is installed.
after you can log in to your facebook account, reinstall again your facebook application (if needed)
if i read in the comment section from playstore, the new updated is buggy as hell.
there's some that complain that when the mobile data connection is not good enough, when you open again the game after closing the game, you have to download again the game data.
some complain that in-game play is laggy.
so i think is not from the mod, that make the bug.
if you have good mobile connection & unlimited data, delete the game and clear the downloaded data.
and reinstall the game, to make sure the data is fresh.
