Multiplayer mode is not the reason.
I don't know what the detection mechanism is.
I only play single-player mode and only play one song a day with mod. I use the official DJ mode for the rest.

Even so, I was banned today.

Just got some inside info from a friend . They did not use client base detection as far as he konw, because there is built-in game auto option. Dev actually will make a list of random amount of game play record(around 20~50 game) from suspect user, then compare it to average gameplay rating of this user. If they found out that this user's recent score was far more beyongd its avarage score, dev will give that user a ban. There is current two types of ban, 7day and perma. 7day means dev doubt your recent score but its no too far from your normal performance so its a warning. Perma mean your got cought and they are sure about it. So if this mod will get update in future, unless it works like one in CGSS, or it will not work well.
