i nstalled the gold mod last month
if i install this must i begin from the start ? i hope not
or is there a different install mode ?

Just try installing this mod over the other mod, if the signature are same, you can install over it and then keep your save progress?

Otherwise, is there some kind of game account save/sync ingame? through FB or game account login?

I was in the same situation and the only way it worked for me was to completely uninstall. It's not good but the gold mod from last month only had the unlimited gold.
