emulator for modding

Good day guys can i ask if what emulator do you use for modding like dycrepting a Dll need root emulator but i dont have any luck, my problem is i need to get the pid number of the game when i used the terminal android emulator denied me to get the pid and when i chmod 777 it tolds me that the system/bin/gdb is only read only system can any one help me i want to learn about modding thanks

i used rooted bluestaks, intalled SU already, installed busybox already, i already copy the gdb core and gdbserver to bin

or do you have any tutorials to decrypt a dll files beside in gdb core tutorials
