Unfortunetly it doesn't seem that safe. You will get score rewards for clearing, but they'll reduce your score to 0 and wipe your rank during reward phase.

You need rooted phone, BusyBox, Titanium Backup installed!
Then backup your google logged game data. Uninstall original game, install mod apk, go to Titanium Backup app restore backup only "Game data" not with APK.
Then you can play Google Play acc.
