Do I have to download the game assets through the modified apk? I have the assets from the untouched one and pasted it with the mod. The game says data is corrupted and needed to clear cache.

that something i have no idea. game performs whatever check for its assets. you will need to uninstall the game apk before installing mod though, sometimes games not loading if the cache/assets got corrupted
