Root is not required, but lucky patcher is. You don't need root to have lucky patcher. You just can't use a couple functions in lucky patcher without root. For IAP and remove Google ads they generally work with non-rooted devices. I've been using lucky patcher for a while, and having a Verizon Moto z force 2 that can't be rooted, I can say from experience that lucky patcher does work. Just my thoughts lol, since this is taken from SBenny and most of his stuff requires lucky patcher.
