Most easiest way to keep up with this is, make sure your girls that need to run each stage have their Rank at least (Stage level - 1) before finish its whole chapter. Unless it's on early chapter that you cannot find certain item, then you just have to make sure you can find most of them, equip them --and you'll be safer on public eyes.

On stage 8 it's highly recommend that you would have your girls avg.level at least 65 before you can finish 8-12 to unlock [Princess Arena] where Lv.65 NPC teams looks to be their standard.

I think Mod doesn't work on PvP if that you mention.
Otherwise, everywhere else work even Co-op and Clan war.

Beware if you want to utilize it in clan war, scoreboard from you contribution are recorded accordingly, mean every low damage hit you get from mod effect will stored as it is and other people can inspect you through it.

i dont use it on Clan war.
mod v2 is safe on Co-op? Because i see v2 can be used on Co-op battle.

Can't say it totally safe, I'll likely cause can out-of-sync error and kick you or whole party out of the game if your result in your run are not sync with other client.

Result of yours and other contribution within co-op stage are seen differently based on each individual client/app, at least make sure your party can clear certain stage with ease so everyone that participate with you will seeing that you clear your stage within sync time.

Have you guys tried out new ex dungeon using mod 2? Is it safe even if you have already reached cap and fully geared?
 
be careful after beating the EX dungeon boss with mod
this boss is really, reaaaaally hard to beat without mod
even my lv 98 (legit account) is having difficulty because i only have 3 teams fully geared
finally beat it after sacrificing 34 girls

if you are low level (below 90) but have the furniture in your room, people will get suspicious
either put it in 2nd floor or don't use it until you are 90+
