You have to uninstall any other version of the game, previous or current, before installing the mod.
You can overwrite installations with .apk having different signatures only if you are rooted and patched (Lucky Patcher) accordingly.

Mod #2 doesn't work. I have completed the tutorial twice and I didn't get infinite coins, money, keys, happiness etc.
Edit: Installing the mod overtop of the STG extraction file did not work
