I think there is some platform compatibility issue with the game.

On my rooted Pixel C tablet, game was both able to execute smoothly both the original or MOD one.

On my rooted Xperia XZ, game would just crash (I do still see the main Star Ocean screen though, just not able to log into main page) in both original & MOD version.

Haven't try on simulator yet.

On my non root nextbook the game run very good but my other rooted phone runs laggy i think its the mod version dont run good

I rooted my phone just for this. I had root checker to check and it's rooted. I'm not sure what's going on.
