Apologies for the double post. Yeah some items, like the store causes the diamonds to decrease also when you drop a crate. The others are ok although the doom thing got greyed out when I used it a few times in a row but then it sorted out when I restarted.

The teapot seems to happen around 2500, so I avoid going all the way up there, also what helped me so far is to not link the game to any account. I continually back up the files and all has been good so far.
 
The best way for me to avoid teapot is to stay clear of crossing stage 2500. The only way to unteapot I understand is to buy diamonds but I never did that nor do I intend to.
