VIP is a great service. Its value for the work and service provided is amazing and its the little bits of effort that help ensure the continued survival of the modding community.
Personal experience, even if you dont play any of the games in VIP, if you simply enjoy modded games you will find yourself with much to choose. You could even find a game you previously disliked and find that with some mods it helps the experience. The VIP games are like the highest quality buffet of mods that you can reliably use.
The quality of mods is certainly amazing. I know some people have issues with like half of the mods being x5 multipliers instead of like God mode or whatever, but you must take into onsideration that a) they have modded a game few probably could even mod. b) they are using the VIP section + the low risk options to maximise the survivability of the mod. The mods will be more than sufficient to enjoy the game with that little assistance.
Lastly, the quality of the license and VIP system has changed considerably. From having to manually place a licence and then using an app to authenticate etc., they've made it into an all in one app including the installation. They could simply mod apps all the time but they also focus on quality service, putting QoL improvements. Few services can say the same.
With that, I conclude that so long as you have slight interest in VIP, you should give it a shot. Support these people. If you love the forums, and the many free mods, support them with a VIP sub. Like seriously, you don't need any review to tell you how great the service is.
