I have just tested it and I knew that problem, try my solution:
1. Uninstall mod apk/ original apk
2. Restart your phone
3. Install mod apk
4. Turn off Wifi/ Mobile Internet (4G)
5. Run the mod and you will be able to play ( You must keep the Internet off while you are playing)
6. When you want to stop playing, close the game absolutely. Then you can turn on the Internet.
P/s: You have to turn off the Internet every time you play. If you forget it, you will have to reinstall mod and your data maybe lost.
