There are a number of modern android devices such as the note 5 which can note be rooted via 1 click root apps anymore. Most flagships cant infact. Rooting with a pc isnt difficukt though so long as someone reads carefully and uses the correct files for their model number.

I would suggest looking up on Google which one is the right one for your device.
Not doing so can lead to you bricking your phone. Trust me, you do NOT want that to happen. Unless you are someone like me and not care, cause it can easily be fixed.

None of these methods will work I've S6 edge +
Alll android devices with android 5.1.1 have a locked bootloader, u have to try to unlock it first
with a cyanogenmod and then per Computer when Phone gets into fastboot try to root ( a friend from XDA forum told me this) its a little to complicated if u dont have basic knowledge.

i have samsung s6 i root my phone with all the above and evry time i look inside with x-plore i see all the file
inside and when i look with twrp terminal i see theme again and when you delet theme even use the stop update
then if i succed the phone wont reboot its all 3 party sofware make you belive now i notice
you dont need no rom to root your phone i did it with terminal and su but never cant have real root
explore your phone deep inside and you will see what em talkin abbout sory for my englis just french quebecker canada thank you if you can help will like to beat google off all my android device

download odin download your
phone firmware download twrp and super su noting from google start phone in download mode put firmware in ap selec delet all and push start
after reboot do noting restart phone in dowload and put wrp in odin click bl and put twrp after reboot do noting reboot phone in recovery
twrp will start go in terminal and type
$ su
# ls /sbin
ueventd
adbd
# exit
and enter then type # chmod 777 ls and enter type exit then go to install in twrp and install super su with twrp
and busybox noting from google have fun dont be afraid you cant not brick phone ps download s6 driver if you connect your phone and hear beeb beeb
twis you have to delet s6 drive and install the new driver whach youtube abbout the driver or odin
