Be sensible in who you fight. Don't fight teams that are so much higher than you that it's obvious you're using a hack. 2K is a good rule of thumb.

&^%$ i got caught just now and my trophies were reset to zero in pvp arena! and there was some kind of update in the game though the modded apk still works, they "fixed" superman and added livewire

man i was just in 1500 best not top rank, not top 100 or anything i rarely use it in pvp actually, but pvp is so f***ed up i get 4-5 pple like 10 lvls below me and then i get 2-3 who are same as me and the others are above me, so i got this guy who is 10 lvl above me! and i am like ru f***ing stupid how am i go win this one?? and i had won everyone else but him, didnt even bother of course he had way better team and i refreshed (i actually did) and then i got the same guy again!!! so screw u devs i opened or rather closed the music and kicked him! so they noticed i guess or he reported me or smthng
but twice same guy wouldnt let me collect the 10 shards thats 20 shards wasted! i got pissed

what's the error? if you have existing game installed, then you need to uninstall that first (unless you patch your Android with Lucky Patcher). In any case, before you uninstall, if you have existing account in the game, you better remember your login/transfer code/whatever cause you gonna need it later or otherwise you can kiss your account goodbye

Yeah, don't do this! If you see someone ridiculously higher than you on your board refresh it until they're gone BEFORE you do any battles. This way you're just losing 1 or 2 tokens instead of 9. It happened to me a few days ago. I refreshed and got a relatively normal board with one level 70 who just happened to be #1 on the leaderboard. And I'm level 55. So yeah, it's totally fucked up this even happens. I just refreshed to get rid of him, used the 9 tokens I had, and then came back after an hour to finish it up.
The other fucked up thing is that if I look at my history panel it's full of level 60-70s. Why is the game putting a level 55 on a level 70's board? It's ridiculous. I can't even retaliate against any of them because they are twice my power score. I'm lucky if there's one or two that's my level. It makes no sense. This game is so broken on so many levels. One of the reasons why I will never give them a dime and continue to use a hack to get around their stupid bullshit.

the game has some decent premise but implementation is so f***ed up. pretty sure it has something to do with the money they want to make out of it not caring if they make a decent game
