IMO, it's safe using mod on hell mode storyline as long as you don't use it on chapter 7 or above.
Because on chapter 7 or above the characters you use on those chapters must at least be T5, all four of them.
I say this because I do use mods on hell mode storyline.

Just look it like this: chapter 1-6 are for farming & characters upgrades, chapter 7 & above for characters testing.

this is great now with only atk+hp, it keeps usin mod honest imo so u dont tackle content u cant handle in the 1st place.

Revert back to v3.41 if you're using v3.42

There is absolutely no ban chance for Chapters 1-6 BECAUSE even the weakest hero setups with no mod and no brain can do those chapters with 3 stars. Chapter 7 you need to have all your team to at least T2 to get through it and for Chapter 8, it is a much harder wall to go through and there is where you need to be careful what mod you use.

Don't use it on Chapter 9, you really have ban wish if you do.

I can test that ban wish for you, if you would like, on one of my alts
It has a maxed 5 star (+5 transcendence) team
