15 days late but if you're still wondering here's the gist of it. With unsigned apks you can connect to Google Play on rooted phones/devices.Which means that you can save your progress,get achievements,transfer your progress across devices etc. Essentially , you're getting all the benefits of the original/playstore version of the game with the added bonus of it being modded.
