Question about rooting my deveice

Hello everyone,

I've been an Iphone user for most of my time and switched to android just a while ago.
Since I use google log in to some of my games I've read that in order to use the mods I require my device to be rooted.
Now I've been looking into it and found that I can root my device with magisk. my question is if I follow the steps provided on their website
is there anything else I need to do or would I be "rooted"? it's my first time doing it and Id like to get some advise help.

my device is Pocophone F1

Magisk is a system less root so installs as a side by side version of your device rather than taking over your firmware totally. People prefer this as it is safer, normal root needs you to know all kinds of info about your device in order to root properly without damaging it. If the only reason you want to root is in order to use google login magisk is the best way,however wanting to login in to Google is never straight forward and usually requires a lot more messing around than switching your accounts to a different sync method. You risk losing a lot of android functionality when rooting and this is for very minimal gain just to login to Google games

what would you recommend then? honstly I'musing my phone not for much other than texting/surfing and gaming. and since I got most of my accounts linked to my google account I think this is the best option I have dont I?
